During the development of and rhPSMA inhibitors (Tx/Dx) and siPSMA (for PET imaging) it became apparent that the fundamental design of PSMA inhibitors also favors non-fluorinated silicon-containing groups.
Thus, a further group of therapeutic chelator-conjugated PSMA ligands, the so-called sioPSMA (Tx) inhibitors with particularly fast renal excretion and low kidney retention originates from this rational drug design/SAR analysis approach.
